Senuti uses this file to read the playlists on your iPod, and allows you to transfer them back to your computer. Playlist information is also stored here, allowing iTunes to see what's on your iPod. Every bit of information on every song on your iPod is stored in the iTunesDB file. Senuti manages to transfer songs from an iPod to a computer easily, by reading a hidden file on the iPod (iTunesDB), in order to get all of the information quickly and accurately.
The application is free to download and use for owners of a Mac running OS X 10.3 or later. Version 0.50.2 adds iPod touch and iPhone support, some crash reporter enhancements, as well as a few bug fixes. Developer Whitney Young has recently updated Senuti, the simple utility that makes transferring songs from an iPod to your computer quick and easy.
